ABOUT THIS SESSION The economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis is seen as an opportunity to avoid the environmentally destructive patterns of old and ‘build back better’. While few would disagree, what exactly does this mean. There are contrary views on how the balance between triggering investment and long term resilience to the climate emergency will be achieved. Will behavioural changes impact on future priorities or are we set for a quick return to a potentially more destructive ‘build build build’. This session from SEDA will explore what ‘build back better’ means to communities in an urban, rural and island context.
