The Repurposing of our Building Stock – The Ever-Changing Dilemma
Covid19 has highlighted the requirement of a more adaptive approach to how businesses function – and has put the spotlight on our current buildings and workplaces. Do they now suit our needs? Downsizing and remodelling, the potential change of use, and the legislation requirements to meet Scotland’s net-zero target of 2045 set in the Climate Change (Emissions Reduction Targets) (Scotland) Act 2019 in relation to having more fuel efficient, sustainable buildings for the next generation and beyond. These are only a few of the challenges that we face to ensure our current building stock remains current, user friendly and meet the legislation criteria’.
